Last October 8 there was done the act of inauguration of the new Office of Simat de la Valldigna's Tourism, an act to which there came representatives of all the political municipal groups, authorities of the Valldigna and a great number of neighbors of the village.

In the inaugural speech, the mayor of Simat, Sebastián Mahiques, stood out the symbolic value of the new Office of Tourism, as point of contraband of a new policyof tourist promotion to the municipality " that Simat's economy should complement and diversifies ". In addition, he stressed the advantages with which it tells the municipality, as his privileged situation to the mountain and near the sea, or the Monastery of Santa Maria of the Valldigna, "a historical and statutory monument that is a modal of the Valencian Community".

For her part, the councillor of Tourism, Mónica Sancirilo, stood out the potential of the new office as revitalizing element of the tourist offer of the population, and the intention of the corporation on having done of Simat " a tourist municipality of the first order ".

After the discovery of the commemorative plate, a visit guided in the monastery was done, with the participation of an actor characterized of Cistercian monk, and a wine of honor ahead the Oil-mill.

The new office of Tourism is located in the Paseig 9 d'Octubre, close to the river Vaca and the Font Gran. His schedule of attention to the public is from Monday until Saturday of 9:00 to 14:00 h.
